Abramoff-Related Money: A Case Study Of Republican Success

The Abramoff scandal is a classic example of why the Republicans have been so successful during the last 25 years.

Jack Abramoff has been indicted on various bribery charges. He is a lifelong Republican who has never personally given a dime to any Democrat. So, this scandal should really hurt the Republicans, right? Well, not exactly.

How are the Republicans able to avoid major damage? Simple. They clutter things up by creating a nonsense issue. In this case, it is "Abramoff-related money". It is just a total diversion. None of Abramoff's clients are accused of any wrongdoing, so whoever they gave money to is simply not relevant to anything.

Of course, the Republicans are aided in all this by bootlickers such as Bill O'Reilly and others, who put out this sort of crap on a regular basis. And, as usual, when the Republicans create such a trap as this, a number of Democrats walked right into it by returning all of their "tainted" money.

Bottom line: the Republicans once again manage to take urine and somehow make lemonade out of it.

Osama Returns

Remember Osama bin Laden? He is the current leader of al-CIA-da and dazzled all of us with a new audio message yesterday. Curiously, Osama's new message came at a time when Bu$h desperately needed it. Funny how things usually seem to work out that way.

It's 2006

I am spending the day relaxing and watching Bowl games. The Markets are closed today.

What to expect in 2006? More corruption from Bu$h/Cheney and their gang of scum. More nonsense from Bill O'Reilly and Ru$h Limbaugh. Probably more disorganization from the Democratic Party. Air America Radio will continue to add new markets. Reality shows will continue to get dumber and dumber. The Yankees will finish below .500.
